Hi, I’m Maddie, a second year student at St Catz and I am the Secretary for MatSoc this year. This is my second year on the MatSoc committee and I am really looking forward to working with the new team to ensure that MatSoc continues to be a thriving society. In my role I compile agendas, and record minutes for all of our meetings, I also ensure all of our admin is complete and up to date. Hi! My name is Gibran. I am a first year at Teddy and am the Events and Sponsorship officer for this cycle. In my role I want to arrange events that engage and interest the members of MatSoc and hopefully provide more insight into the world of materials in industry and academia that we don’t always get to see when doing our degree.

The type of events range from talks from alumni and industry as well as industrial visits. I am also responsible for securing new sponsors for MatSoc and building relationships with potential sponsors.
